Stockholm Chamber Choir, in collaboration with Church of Sweden in Skellefteå, presents a concert featuring music from Sweden, Finland, and the Baltics. During tonight's concert, we will hear music from, among others, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, and Latvia, composed by composers active from 1975 to the present day. The repertoire of the evening offers a modern sound with roots in classical harmony, drawing inspiration from older church music and the Western music tradition, such as Gregorian chant and polyphonic music. Among others, we will hear works by Finland's Jaakko Mäntyjärvi, Estonia's Arvo Pärt, and Latvia's Pēteris Plakidis, as well as compositions from Swedish composers like Gabriella Gullin and Sven-David Sandström.
